Here are some pictures of a project we did for a client in Old Louisville. These gutters were in sad, sad shape.
They had leaks everywhere when it rained. They have been patched and repatched,
peel and sticked, then tarred again. They still continued to fail. This was a
complete tear-off and rebuild. We had to fabricate new outlooks because the
existing ones had rotted beyond reuse. New wood all around, new 16oz copper
gutter pans, strategically placed expansion joints. New fascia, soffit and crown
with a new quality paint job - don't skimp on cheap paint here, this is not
something you want to repaint every few years. When we were finished, these
copper lined box
gutters will last a hundred years - if the painting maintenance is kept up.
